Dr. Overley is proficient at getting to the bottom of your most complex issues! He is also one of the most caring practitioners and will actually take the time to listen to what you have to say! I recommend you schedule with him ASAP - You won’t regret it!
I went to Dr. Overley with a number of health issues including LUPUS, arthritis, chronic inflammation, and high blood pressure. I was also unable to lift my arm when I first saw him. He immediately put me on a healthier diet, helped me lower my blood pressure so I don't have to take all the medications I was on, I can lift my arm and he has helped me get the arthritis and inflammation under control. I wish all my doctors had the same concern, focus, patience and expertise he has. My health has improved more during my short time with him than it has in the past five years with my other specialists. Dr. Overley is definitely the BEST of the BEST!
Once I found out about Doctor Overly, I scheduled an appointment and ever since its been a journey of growth and healing. Dr Overly is an exceptionally helpful and friendly person that will do what they can to help.
I would highly recommend Dr. Overley! I was looking for someone who was knowledgeable and would look at the whole picture instead of just prescribing a medication. I found Dr. Overley through a Google search and I must say - it has been one of the best investments I’ve ever made. I feel so much better! I no longer rely on caffeine or have terrible blood sugar spikes that would leave me feeling shaky and hungry all the time. My only regret is that I didn’t find him sooner!
My experience with Dr. Overly has been great! Highly recommend.
Dr. Hunter Overley is one of the best doctors I have ever come across because he truly believes in helping his patients. He makes you feel comfortable as soon as you enter his office. Since working with Dr. O, starting the paleo diet, and taking some supplements my digestion issues and mood has gotten significantly better.
I went to Dr. Overley for several issues (heartburn, terrible headaches, and constant fatigue) I had been dealing with, that traditional medicine wasn’t able to help with. I am so glad I did! Since day one, he started homing in on my issues; really learning about my symptoms and current lifestyle to get a good understanding of me. He is so knowledgeable in nutrition and functional health and explains it in a way that’s easy to understand. Through his unique treatment methods, I’ve managed to get the acid reflux under control and get to/start treating the real underlying issue. Highly recommend him to anyone!
We didn’t know quite what to expect with our first visit with Dr. Overly. We were looking for someone to interpret bloodwork and got so much more!! Dr. Overly listens to our concerns and shares his knowledge. He has improved our metabolic and physical health immensely this past year!
Dr. Overley is truthfully one of the most caring, compassionate, dedicated, and comprehensive doctors I’ve ever been to. He really takes the time to get to know you and your health concerns, and then dives right into discovering the root causes so he can treat you from the “ground” up.
When I first came to him, I was a bonafide mess, and it seemed like no one could figure out what was wrong with me. From our first appointment, Dr. Overley listened intently to my concerns, started honing in on the hormonal and nutritional problems that were causing my symptoms, and set me up with lifestyle adjustments and a treatment plan that had me feeling better in just a few days. Anytime I’ve had questions between appointments, he’s always been quick to respond to me personally via email, and in our appointments themselves he’s constantly taking the time to explain what’s going on with my body and not only WHAT the treatments are, but HOW they work, which is something I greatly appreciate. In just a couple months of working with him, I”ve already seen huge improvements in my health and wellbeing. I’m really starting to feel like myself again, and I can definitely say that working with Dr. Overley has played a huge part in that. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. He really is a doctor that goes the extra mile for his patients!!
My sister was the one who sent me to Dr. Overley. I was so happy to find a functional medicine doctor here. I had really bad acid reflux and to find out I had some more stomach issues that he found. I found out my stomach is sensitive to sugar. So, he put me on a special diet and told me what to eat and what not to eat. Dr. Overley really cares about his patients. He finds the underlying issues and help you with every issue that you have with your body. He explains everything in detail so, you can have a better understanding of what's going on with your body. If you have any problems or questions you can call or email him and Dr. Overley is the one who responds back. You don't have to go through no one, he's the one that actually responds back! I was so happy about that, he always responds back. My body used to be on fire...I'm feeling way better now. Thank you so much Dr. Overley for helping me! I really appreciate it! Such a sweet caring person/doctor! Happy healing 🙂
Meet Dr. Hunter Overley
Dr. Overley believes that we are all meant to live a life of vigor and vitality – and we can achieve this for ourselves.
With a few healthy lifestyle hacks and some natural care, you will be well on your way to wellness.
Chiropractic is a natural health care that focuses on neuromuscular dysfunction and treatment in order to improve overall health via the nervous system.
Because of its relationship with the nervous system, special attention is given to the spine. Misalignments or subluxations of spinal bones are corrected with manual adjustments in order to reduce stress on the nervous system.
Since the nervous system controls every function in the human body, this also promotes optimal function of all other bodily systems.
Applied Kinesiology is a diagnostic system used to evaluate the triad of health – structural, chemical and emotional. When a person experiences poor health, it is due to an imbalance of one or more of these factors.
In order to restore this balance, each aspect must be assessed. With this method, the primary imbalance(s) can be determined and treated directly for optimum results.
In general, the applied kinesiologist uses manual muscle testing to find a “weak” muscle and attempts to determine why it is not functioning properly.
The practitioner then evaluates and utilizes the therapy that best eliminates the muscle “weakness” and strengthens the patient.
Your body depends on several nutrients to function properly, such as vitamins, minerals, electrolytes, and amino acids.
A deficiency or imbalance of any of these key nutrients may arise from reasons such as:
Poor dietary habits
Physical, chemical, mental, or emotional stress
The body may initially compensate for these deficiencies. However, if left unaddressed, they can contribute to metabolic disorders, low energy production, hormonal issues, etc.
We offer a variety of scientifically guided testing procedures to evaluate your current nutritional profile and ensure you receive the specific nutrients your body needs at that time.
Proper movement has long been a part of the health and fitness world. However, for too long the emphasis has been placed on the proper form of the wrong exercises.
When moving throughout the day, we don’t isolate one muscle to perform a task. Therefore, we should not exercise one muscle alone but rather, perform functional exercises that incorporate several muscles at once.
This form of training prepares you for real-life physical activities, strengthens the entire body, and helps prevent future injuries.
Whether you are a weekend warrior, a triathlete, or just want to play with your children, our movement training can help you.
A large portion of what we do at Whole Root Health can be considered functional medicine.
Not only do we offer advanced functional laboratory testing and analysis for our patients, but our core values are also in sync.
The Institute for Functional Medicine states that functional medicine “addresses the underlying causes of disease, using a systems-oriented approach” and assesses “the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms”.
They go on to note that “practitioners spend time with their patients, listening to their histories and looking at the interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health and complex, chronic disease.”
This holistic paradigm echoes the natural, innovative and comprehensive health care that every one of our patients receives.
There are few things as important to our health as what we put into our bodies; our diet. Many of us have tried to make healthy food choices or attempted several diets only to find confusion and frustration.
We are here to offer you the best and most current nutritional counsel available to get your health back on track. We provide individualized dietary recommendations specific to your needs.
We will identify what foods will help to improve your condition as well as what foods you should avoid in order to maximize your results.
Once you begin eating the right foods for you, you will feel the difference.
Getting to the root cause of your illness.
Providing comprehensive care for the whole you – starting from the roots up.
Supplying the knowledge and tools necessary to achieve and sustain your health goals.
